Parks and plazas are an integral part of the Shanghai lifestyle. I missed out on the "people around the pond" photograph though. Today was a good day for my legs. Walked less than we did in the last three days...phew! Chanced upon this incredible group of seniors dancing in the the park, dressed to kill and totally enjoying themselves. I wasn't jealous at all, seriously. We also spotted a very neatly detailed yard hydrant screen wall, installed in a public plaza outside a mall. I can't fathom how the architect had the time to think of detailing such a mundane component! Began with a walk down some interesting avenues leading up to the Jing'an Temple - what a contrast! Most of the day though, was spent staring, guessing, gesturing, using translation software, clicking photos of the menu to show and order, and discovering great food.
