Is Inaction an Option?
We live an always-on, information-overloaded life and the disconnect brought about by the working-from-home lifestyle has exacerbated the issue of a blurred boundary between personal and professional identities. This has led to heightened distraction and lowered productivity, compounded by a constant pull from multiple emails, messages, notifications, devices, etc and, the real or perceived expectation of instant responses. Whilst the author talks about their unique approach to tackling the issue and may not be applicable for other organisations and teams, it is important that we think about this and try to do what is best for our teams.
